Facts:
Java tea has been used
as a medical herb for many countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand,
Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei. Java tea is a herb that is widely grown in
tropical and open areas such as roadside and wasteland. This plant can be
identified by its white or purple flowers bearing long that resemble “Misai
Kucing” in Malaysia. Java tea is used widely in the form of herbal tea. This
herbal tea can be prepared by soaking in boiling water for about three minutes
and honey or milk is then added.
Medical uses:
1) Have a diuretic effect
Java tea can help
relaxes the muscle of walls of internal vessels thus can facilitating the flow of
urine easily.
2) Have
anti-hypertensive effects
It can help to treat those
people that suffer from high blood pressure.
3) Have cholesterol
inhibiting effects
It can inhibit the development
of artery blockage by LDL cholesterol.
4) Have
antioxidant effects
Java tea has many flavonoids
properties that present to help to protect the body from free radicals that can
lead to problems such as heart disease and cancer.
